Methanol: .Energy in methanol glows light blue .Not lots of carbon is being released and the blue is an indicator .Burns fairly slow Ethanol: .Very light blue .Burns very fast
Gasoline: .Orange shows it is very energy dense .The black smoke is carbon dioxide going into the atmosphere .Flame the largest Candle: .Made of hydro carbon .A bit cleaner than gasoline Cellulose: .Burning wood, brush, or any similar energy .Dirtiest form of energy of the sources presented *The best energy source of all of the sources would be gasoline for efficiency at this point in time. Cellulose is energy dense foe a while, but releases too much carbon dioxide. Candles are not efficient. The other two sources ethanol and methanol are clean sources of energy, but cost a lot to export and import and are nowhere as efficient as gasoline. Even though gasoline is not a very desirable option, it is the only one of the presented sources that works.
Images of the Demo being presented. The one on the left is gasoline burning.
Drinking Water Lab: Testing for ~Results will be present in 48 hours Procedures: . Place 2 drops of water sample onto strip . Put 5 ml of water into each tube with powder . Shake the tubes . Place tubes in an incubator set to 80 degrees Fahrenheit or 25 degrees Celsius . Facts: 2% of water on Earth is drinkable Tap water is filtered out of lakes, ponds, reservoirs, oceans (not as common), etc. Chlorine: . Is harmful to the environment . A pale green gas . Reacts with other chemicals Pond Water Lab: Macroscopic: Something that isnt microscopic; it is large enough to with the human eye Microcopic: Something that isnt macroscopic; something that cant be seen by the human eye Pond water contains a number of different macroscopic and microscopic Ponds are stangnant Stagnant bodies of water don't move Bacteria breaks down 184 bacteria species in a pond https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1tdv4Vdpuy10_vHX6kUe2mVNRANvgowhRcB1VljxO29A/edit#slide=id.g1d2536e300_0_85 pH Levels of Water Lab: Testing pH Levels in Water: Procedures: Ocean went from 8.0 average to 8.1-8.2 in past yeats
