Methanol:
.Energy in methanol glows light blue
.Not lots of carbon is being released and the blue is an indicator
.Burns fairly slow
Ethanol:
.Very light blue
.Burns very fast
Gasoline:
.Orange shows it is very energy dense
.The black smoke is carbon dioxide going into the atmosphere
.Flame the largest
Candle:
.Made of hydro carbon
.A bit cleaner than gasoline
Cellulose:
.Burning wood, brush, or any similar energy
.Dirtiest form of energy of the sources presented
*The best energy source of all of the sources would be gasoline for efficiency at this point in time. Cellulose is energy dense foe a while, but releases too much carbon dioxide. Candles are not efficient. The other two sources ethanol and methanol are clean sources of energy, but cost a lot to export and import and are nowhere as efficient as gasoline. Even though gasoline is not a very desirable option, it is the only one of the presented sources that works.
Images of the Demo being presented. The one on the left is gasoline burning.
